THE KERALA CERAMICS LTD.

Established in 1937 The origins of The Kerala Ceramics Ltd. (TKCL) date back to 1937, when the Maharaja of the erstwhile Princely State of Travancore established two independent units—one for mining and refining china clay and another for the manufacture of porcelain wares. In 1963, these units were amalgamated and incorporated under the Companies Act as The Kerala Ceramics Ltd., a fully owned Government of Kerala undertaking with its registered office at Kundara, Kollam.
In the early 1970s, TKCL became the first in India to commission a Spray Dryer Plant for high-quality kaolin, through technical collaboration with Ohero Manufacturing Company and Wakkabussan Company of Japan. Today, TKCL produces premium grades of Spray-Dried Kaolin and Natural Dried Kaolin, supplying key sectors such as Paint, Paper, Rubber, Footwear, Fiberglass, Fertilizers, and Abrasives. With rich in-house china clay reserves and a modern, state-of-the-art processing facility, TKCL remains committed to delivering consistent quality and sustaining its legacy as a trusted leader in the kaolin industry.
